New feature - sensitive images

Hi all,

We recently released a new feature on our post editor, which enables you to mark images as 'sensitive' when uploading them to your posts.

When you choose to mark an image as sensitive, it will be hidden from other users until they click on it. This ensures that the image is not immediately visible to everyone who views your posts, giving you more control over the content that you share.

We know for example that some health-related imagery may be unsettling for some users, and we hope that this new sensitive flag feature will provide users with greater control over what they see when clicking into threads.

To mark an image as sensitive, simply select the option when uploading your image. We may also mark images as sensitive based on feedback from other users.

We hope that this new feature will enhance your experience on Mumsnet and help to create a more supportive community.

If you have any feedback then please let us know! Thanks!

Hi all - we’re working on bringing it to the apps but it's not yet available so please bear with us.

We usually roll out new features on desktop and mobile initially - this is to get feedback from you all but also the work to roll it out on the app is a separate process.

Can there be a feature to hide them again after you’ve clicked?

You roll the dice, Square, you gotta live with the result... but then you are speaking to the person who has spent the last five mins looking for @frannyandzooey's original photo of her son's artwork with the intention of rickrolling the bejeezus out of you all.
I have failed. I come up empty-handed. (unlike Fran Help ds1 has made a large clay cock | Mumsnet)

I mean it is an erect penis. It is in proportion and quite detailed. He didn't intend it for a cock as far as I know - he was just messing about with...

(actually it looks like it goes back if you refresh, Square)

Hi there @SoupDragon . Nice to see you! And no, we're afraid it won't apply to those preview links; just images.
