Is there some sort of concerted campaign afoot? I've noticed a few threads recently, all along the same lines. Very dog whistley...

It's a very strange thing, but you have to believe in it to get it and I never bought the bullshit.

You should pop over to the rather awful website, Sorryantivazzer, which is full of the obituaries of people who shared your belief.

lemonchiffonpie · 13/04/2023 10:23

*vaxxer!

MyopicBunny · 13/04/2023 10:40

Parker - I can definitely say I'll never get it. It's a very strange thing, but you have to believe in it to get it and I never bought the bullshit.

This is called magical thinking.

Dontcutthedaisies · 13/04/2023 10:42

It's actually very hard to get the statistics on vaccines. Unfortunately during the covid pandemic, nobody took advantage of the people who didn't want to vaccinate to set up control groups to compare with 3rest of us who did get the vaccine

^This. Why wasn't this done?
I appear to be immune, numerous close contact exposures, never tested positive or developed symptoms. I actually searched the Internet for any possible trials but they all involved having the vaccine. Everyone around me was suggesting I donate my blood to science but no one seems to want it!

@BillyAteMyChips you are right. People were lied to and won't want to admit it. Cannot admit. The consequences are too grave.

You haven’t a clue what you’re talking about - you’re not a doctor or virologist. DH is a doctor and worked on a Covid intensive care unit. What he saw will remain with him forever. Covid is not a cold (how many times does this have to be said!).

lemonchiffonpie · 13/04/2023 12:40

And deep down, you all know you were lied to, you just don't want to admit it.

About this "cold", you say, that has killed around 7 million worldwide?

And 5.5 billion vaccines have been administered worldwide - 72% of the world’s population have had at least one vaccine.

Crikeyalmighty · 13/04/2023 12:54

Shame that people like myself who followed advice and was vaccinated have to die or get long covid- don't remember having neurological issues after 'a cold' - myself- I'm pretty sure it was actually some kind of germ warfare that got out- has affected some but not others and if you are lucky enough to have come out unscathed- vaxxed or not you should have the decency to count your blessings- and have a bit of empathy for others who have lost loved ones or have chronic conditions

So every hospital in the UK falsified it’s records and nearly 1m patients weren’t admitted to hospital for treatment for Covid?

DH completed death certificates and didn’t falsely any - nor did his colleagues. Doctors don’t get paid for recording deaths as Covid.

MyopicBunny · 13/04/2023 14:36

The anti-vaxxer I knew who called Covid 'a cold' stopped calling it a cold when he caught it twice and ended up sick in bed for 2 weeks at a time. He still believes rubbish but has had to admit that it does exist lol.

Your 'friend' - I imagine this is someone you talk to online whom you've never met.

You have no empathy. What you have is a superiority complex. You don't care if anyone dies or is hurt, you just get off on the idea that you know The Truth and everyone else is too stupid to believe you. You're sick.

Notegoat · 13/04/2023 14:49

’You have no empathy. What you have is a superiority complex.’

And a fine tinfoil hat.

Crikeyalmighty · 13/04/2023 15:07

It's interesting this virus that doesn't exist according to @BillyAteMyChips - clearly all medics around the world of all political persuasions are 'in on this ruse'

MyopicBunny · 13/04/2023 15:07

Most of the people who believe this stuff do have a superiority complex. There is a certain mindset which includes things like magical thinking, suspicion about everyone and belief in asking the universe to give you what you want. The same sort of people get pulled into multi level marketing schemes.

There is also evidence to show that people who readily reject science and are overtly suspicious often have personality disorders.

The problem with this mindset is that it's a major slippery slope to becoming a fantasist.

If you don't believe in science and you are convinced of something because of your superior intuition, interpretation or whatever, then you now believe that everything you think is true, regardless of evidence. This leads your entire life experience to be a complete fantasy. And you have a very uncertain grip on reality.

That’s not neccesarily true.. Try searching for Vaccine induced long Covid. There’s loads of proper research in the US about it.

Brianne Dressenn was dropped from the AZ trials as it affected her. And they didn’t want it on their statistics.

https://www.science.org/content/article/rare-cases-coronavirus-vaccines-may-cause-long-covid-symptoms

If you're using th e Dressen case as evidence that negative reactions were suppressed or that the trials were not properly co ducted, maybe think again.

Science is a method not a religion and part of that method is looking at evidence and different interpretations of that evidence, all of which you want to censor
