Menu bar under every post

Eww, I suddenly have a menu of options (report, reply etc) under every post. It completely breaks the flow of the thread. Can I turn it off? Is it new, and do I have to have it? I'm in the 'quoting the OP's post is a repetitive waste of space' camp anyway, so very much not the target market for an option to interact with every fucking post...

I hate it! MN just seems to fill up with more and more clutter!

Could the options not be in a little side/drop-down menu?

It's so annoying. It makes every thread look so cluttered and it just isn't necessary.

Glad it's just not me. I'm tempted to report both your posts with 'I agree with this' just to make a point

Add me to the list, please! It makes everything look so cluttered and is very distracting...since these options aren't readily used, a drop down menu would be a better option, IMO

I thought the heart meant we got a like button, wonder what save means, as you can also bookmark and watch the thread. Is it necessary?

Agree a drop down menu from dots in the corner would be much better.

Will it be like the "threads you make like" issue where MN kept insisting that everyone liked and needed the feature and then had to introduce the option to hide the feature?

Its much harder to see the ops posts now too. 😕

I am so sorry I caused you distress! I was posting in solidarity with you about a 'like' button and just threw that in about an edit button that keeps getting requested. Your post looks perfectly grammatical to me...plus I'm about the last person in the world to be able to point out any grammatical errors ( I never listened in class when grammar was being taught)

Hate it too! If everyone comments on this post that they are not a fan maybe @LilyMumsnet and the mumsnet crew will change it back!

I hate it. Why has it been introduced? Has anyone ever asked for such a feature? Is it a trial run and we just haven't been informed , or is it here to stay. Its so untidy.

Yes very annoying and looks cluttered to me. Why would I want to “share” a post? And if I did why would I not just use the thread link?
