Blank ads in majority of thread

Trying to read the working class surgeon thread and three quarters of the pages are blank due to an add somewhere in the middle.

Can you let us know what device and browser you're using to access the site and could you upload a screenshot for us?

The last week text has been disappearing when I scroll up and down a page and the pages often then freeze. It’s putting me off using the site. I’m constantly having to come off the entire site and go back on and try find where I was before it last froze. I’m using an iPad /safari. I’ve just managed to get rid of the consent box appearing on each page and now it’s doing this. Ads go white with no script in too though this doesn’t bother me.

I never linked the problem with the pages going blank with the ads, until I saw astorsback post. So below are screenshots of what was under the ad on a thread. The rest of the screen under it is just white. If I start scrolling back up then the text above it also disappears and the pages often just freeze completely so I can’t go back or forward a page.

And here’s 2 more screenshots of it happening just now on another thread. First the text under that post shown went white, then scrolling up the text above it went white, then the page froze completely. I’m giving up now till it’s sorted as it’s so irritating .

Hi, yes I’m here. I updated to OS 15.7 just now. If I scroll past the ads the text above and below disappears still but it now comes back within a few seconds which is an improvement. Yesterday I just kept my finger away from the centre of the screen and scrolled up and down very carefully as far to the right side of the screen as possible so I kept away from any ads.

Yes, Its exactly as @Myotherdogsaballboy posted.

I'm also on iphone OS using Safari.

Its still doing it -currently on the tradesperson inviting people round thread.

Could we ask how you have your posts per page set? We're wondering if that might have something to do with it...

If you usually have them set at 1,000 posts per page, could you try setting them at 25 or 50 posts per page and letting us know that works? If anyone needs help finding those preferences, go to My Mumsnet at the top right of the screen, then settings, then Talk settings.

It might not be that but it would be useful if we could rule it out and we do know that some users have difficulty with threads loading properly etc when they are viewing lots of posts per page.

This is what I’m seeing. It’s taken me multiple attempts to post this. This site really is so creaky. Come on, I’m sure it could be better .

Ive just changed my posts setting from 100 per page to 25 and looks like its fixed it. Thanks. <crosses fingers>

I have changed my settings to 25 posts per page and it’s helped, but not fixed the problem. It’s still there to a lesser degree.

Is there a chance you could screen record this issue for us and mail it over to [email protected]?
