threepointonefourone · 09/09/2022 23:42

Was doing it to me yesterday. Clearing cookies didn’t work, but clearing all internet history and switching on and off again did work.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2022 07:08

Hi all and hi @godmum56 we're sorry it didn't work. Are you still seeing the consent box on every page now?

We'll post the advice again for anyone who hasn't tried it but of course, please let us know if it doesn't and we'll investigate further solutions.

Please follow the instructions below - it should stop this happening but do let us know if not, along with details of your device and browser and a screen grab if possible.

Here are the instructions for Chrome:

Computer - Delete specific cookies

On your computer, open Chrome
At the top right, click More ⋮ > Settings
Click Privacy and security
Cookies and other site data
Click See all site data and permissions
At the top right, search for Mumsnet
To the right of the site, click Remove
To confirm, click Clear.

Android - Delete specific cookies

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
Visit Mumsnet.com
To the right of the address bar, tap More ⋮ > Info > Cookies.
Next to the number of cookies in use, tap Delete

iPhone &iPad - Clear all cookies

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
At the bottom right, tap More ⋮ > Settings
Tap Privacy > Clear Browsing Data.
Tick Cookies, Site Data. Untick the other items.
Tap Clear Browsing Data > Clear Browsing Data.
Tap Done.

Here are the instructions for Safari:

iPhone & iPad
Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

Here are the instructions for Firefox:

At the top right, click ⋮ > Click ‘Settings’
Click ‘Privacy & Security’
Scroll down to ‘Cookies and Site Data’
Click ‘Manage Data’
Select Mumsnet.com and choose ‘Removed Selected’
Save changes

Just done this - made no difference

EmptyHouse0822 · 11/09/2022 22:44

This started happening to me today and it’s constant.

I can’t click on anything without the “we need your consent” box popping up.

It’s driving me mad.

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 12/09/2022 07:35

I followed the advice last week which sorted the problem. However, it’s started happening again this morning!

Im posting from my iPad, on safari.

HebeMumsnet · 12/09/2022 11:18

Morning, everyone. Sorry to hear some of you are still having problems with this. Do send us the details of your device and browser if you haven't already and we'll feed that back to the team looking at this.

For anyone else, who hasn't yet done so, do try following the instructions above AND updating your browser. One or other of those, or a combination of the two, seems to be sorting the issue out for the majority of users.

We'll be back as soon as there's an update for anyone those measures haven't helped.

antikkiti · 09/10/2022 19:44

I am having the same problem constantly. It is making the site unreadable.
My device is a Macbook Air using chrome browser Version 105.0.5195.125 (Official Build) (x86_64).
