Why can't I unwatch threads?

I have so many threads in my 'watching' list that I can't unwatch. I have no interest in a thread that has been inactive for months but when I click unwatch it still stays there. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi @Tallisker - thanks for letting us know there's a problem here.

We'll try to find out what's going wrong but first we need to know which device you're using to view Mumsnet and which version of the site - desktop / mobile or app (iPhone or Android).

Morning @Tallisker and others. Have you yet tried logging out of and then back into the app? That might be worth a go. Also, are you using the most recent version of the app? We have had people having some trouble with older versions.

Quick update - we've spotted a bug that looks like it's causing this issue. There are a few more urgent things that are a priority but this one's on the list now so hopefully should be fixed soon.

I’ve noticed that I can hide them, but then they will pop up again later or next day.

Strange thing is that when I log in via my PC I do see the "unwatch" button, so maybe it's just an App issue.

I am having this same issue accessing via web browser on an iPhone 7. I keep getting email alerts so I click un watch but nothing happens! It’s very very annoying and I’m considering just deleting my account as I’m getting up to 10 unwanted emails a day.

Same here. Bogstandard Chrome browser on laptop and web browser on android.
Thought it was me not hitting the "unwatch" properly!

Morning, everyone. We know it's a bit of an ask but it would be really helpful to know:
a) Which thread it is you are trying to unwatch
b) To be able to see a screen recording of what happens when you try to unwatch the thread.
