Thread titles showing I have read it when I haven’t?

So on the active / trending - the odd title will come up in purple which means I have read it before - and I know I haven’t … what’s that all about ?

Have you got the same problem I have? When I hide a thread just above a thread I've read, the changed colour moves to the thread below (or to put it another way, it stays in the same place in the page as the thread list moves upwards)
