Do threads have to be now?!

I posted a thread in chat this morning about a petition to include more BAME history in the curriculum - it was promoted by the programme tv last night. Pretty innocuous and not inflammatory or anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

Soon as I posted it, I got a message saying the thread was hidden until MNHQ had time to look at it, and not heard anything since.

Sorry that title should be: do threads have to be APPROVED now.

Petitions are only permitted in the Petitions topic, so it was probably hidden pending moving to the correct place

Ahh ok - I had no idea. I just wanted to share it, didn’t realise there was a specific place for them to go.

This sounds like our auto-hide tool. If something contains a certain phrase/link, then it will be hidden automatically. We use this as a moderation tool because of the amount of spam we get on the main talk boards.
