Every time I click on something I get the message asking for consent. I click accept every time but it’s not saving it?

hi

We’ve changed our Consent Management Platform to one which allows you to “reject all” cookies rather than having to go through them one by one. For a small number of users this has resulted in them being asked to consent on every page they visit. If this is happening to you please follow the instructions below the consent pop up should stop appearing once you've reselected your preferences.

iPhone & iPad

Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

Macs

Open your Safari preferences
Click ‘Privacy’
Click ‘Manage Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Click on ‘Mumsnet.com’ and choose ‘Remove’
Click ‘Done'

Hello @SueMumsnet I'm using Ecosia on an iPhone, no direct equivalent to that you suggested but have done the closest and it's still popping up every time

I’m being asked for this on my iPhone using chrome. There doesn’t seem to be an ‘advanced’ option when I look at chrome in the settings

Hello!

For chrome can you try -

Open Chrome.
Go to Mumsnet
To the left of the web address, click the padlock (site information)
Change permission settings from there.

Can you let us know how it goes? Flowers

Sob Ecosia doesn't have this, these are my options? Nothing seems to make any difference . .

I chose web site data, found Mumsnet, cleared data and it's still asking me about cookies.

Thanks @SueMumsnet but if I click the padlock it just highlights the whole URL- no option to change permissions.

We should not need to do this you should be able to sort your platform so it operates correctly.
if all other websites and forums I use work, but yours doesn’t this means that the error is in your set up not my settings!

@SueMumsnet I’m using an ipad and followed the directions above but am still getting the pop-up each time I refresh. Any other ideas please?

I am also on an iPad and your instructions don’t work. Have to say I feel a bit like @Onthegrid as all the other sites I use are fine…n

What fresh hell is this? It’s really bad, makes the site unusable.

Me too. Every page I open. And then I get the “consent to data” page. I really hope you’ve negotiated fees with your developer who “upgraded” the site. Worst upgrade ever.

I followed the instructions, came back to mumsnet and got asked again. It’s getting really frustrating.

This is still happening and is incredibly annoying. Any chance it will be fixed?
