App keeps crashing but only when reading one thread

It's the thread 4 of the AB case. Anyone else? A bit odd that the app is working fine for me in every other way but I can not scroll through that thread.

Mine has just crashed on that one too. Had to go on the desktop site

In any case, can you please try uninstalling/reinstalling the app or ensure you're running the latest version?

Hi it looks like the latest version of the iOS app may have a bug that crashes on some threads with images. We're looking into it.

Same for me. Only on that thread.

Keeps happening for me too, but on the 'Have we got a 2022 sandals thread yet.'

Crashes as soon as I click on it 🤷‍♀️.

My current best guess is that it happens first time it tries to load a message with >1 image. The sandals thread has such a message as its second message - hence the immediate crash. We'll raise with the app developer urgently but they may not see til UK working hours tomorrow.

Oops looks like quotes don't work right either...

Looks like there is a fix out. If you go to the App Store and search for mumsnet talk and click Update by the app it should fix it.

Thanks @StevenTechMumsnet , done that and crashing now sorted, but posts with quotes are being cut off before the end of the text.

Seriously @StevenTechMumsnet you realised this yesterday evening, about 9 hours after I reported it via Site Stuff & MNHQ responded saying it was being addressed 🤦🏻‍♀️

Reported this yesterday morning. Is apparently being addressed - except half of MN staff, including tech ones, don't know about it.

Even so? There are problems across the platforms. Not just the app.

Surely there's some central communication of known issues at MNHQ?

There is. As I said I spoke out of turn. I should have checked the central issues log before commenting, but didn't. I was just surprised when my own post showed weird formatting. My fault completely.
