Can threads now go on to infinity because one I'm on is currently at 2010 posts?

Coming to ask the same. We keep creating new threads at 1000 posts for long running threads as we have become accustomed but threads are now running on beyond 1000 posts. How high can they go?

Hi, there. We think that what's happening is that the post count now includes posts which have been deleted. Can you post a link to the thread with 1010 posts so we can have a look?
