I think the new update is pretty good?
Many of the issues people are reporting aren't actually issues - they just haven't played around with the options.

Just me?

It's all fine with me. All that seems to have changed is the font is now clearer and brighter, the way quotes show up is slightly different and we have more emojis 🍌🐿🚀

I've not used it on the app before and I rather like it via the app-- seeing all kinds of sections I didn't know existed!!

Now they’ve fixed the cookies issues it seems to be working just fine for me. I quite like the new look.

I like most of it. Certainly I've not seen many of the issues other people have been reporting. Generally I think it looks good and is easy to read and navigate. I'm enjoying playing around with the site to see what else it does.

There's just an issue with bookmarks on long threads which I've whinged about a couple of times, plus I can't access PMs (not that I get many, but still). I'm not convinced about the nesting quotes but I'll get used to it.

I'm hopeful it'll all be fixed over the next few days.

I think it looks great and all, but the functionality isn't as good as before imo.

One thing I definitely don't like is how the 'Active' threads works now. Before, I enjoyed scrolling through 'Active' from the top and reading any that interested me before carrying on down the list. Once at the bottom you could click to see more (or just refresh).

Now, the list is different after you've viewed a thread. I feel like you have to scroll the full list and choose which is of most interest and read that, knowing the others will probably not be there when you go back.

I don’t mind it at all. Websites change, end of.

All the hand-wringing, flouncing threats, moaning about how Susan who has an unspecified and unique issue with her perception of websites in 3D and is triggered by the font or whatever is ludicrous.

Yes, it’s good! There are few teething troubles, as you’d expect but TBH it’s already a major improvement. The last time there was a big update (2008?) was the same, people just don’t like change.

It's so much easier to @ people, and I personally find it easier to read. I'm sure I remember them saying they needed to move to the new platform to be able to offer new functionality like editing.
