Why not roll back to the previous version of talk until you sort out all the known issues. You are already going to start losing Mnetters who just can't be bothered after 3 days of hell on this new version

“Hell”?! That’s a bit dramatic isn’t it. I really don’t think they’re going to lose as many users as people think. It’s still a (mostly) free website at the end of the day!

Depends. It seems worse for some people than others. I have seen some people bugger off. I am spending less time on here as it is so faffy. CBA with the slowness and the glitches.

I'm not here as much either as the app doesn't work at all for me, despite uninstalling, reinstalling etc. Can't post anything, and I know there's several other users who can't either. I'm not dragging my laptop out every time I want to log on. I've even resorted to checking out Netmums today....

I'm getting pissed off today with not being able to see the images that people are posting. They're tiny, can't be enlarged without going fuzzy.

I get 'Oops' screens too and have lost posts - still happening this evening. It's all a bit tedious tbh.

I agree - I can't understand why they didn't wait until the new version was perfect before launching - there was nothing wrong with the old version in my opinion.

Took about 1 and a half minutes to load this thread. (Just Mumsnet other windows on my phone are fine-ish) (Facebook took 7 seconds)

Bookmarks are still buggered and not responding to being clicked.

Threads are freezing as try to scroll past adverts.

As one scrolls through a thread you get large areas of white as posts aren't loading

Photos are still appearing as faint white or grey hollow rectangles.

Threads keep expiring and need to be refreshed

It is not a pleasant experience using Mumsnet at the moment.

I keep getting a chrome error "chrome is not responding", and it's so slow to load. Now it could be coincidence, but it only started happening with the new MN update.

Plus my user name has lost its capital letters and I don't like it.

I'm on here less too, cant stand threads running according to time as opposed to topics.. i keep reading the same titles i have no interest in, as they move down the screen.
.. and why do i have a PM notification sitting there when i have no new PM?

It is a bit of a challenge being on here atm. Lots of glitches and blanking and freezing etc. And (as I said yesterday,) they have forced this new weird site on us (that frankly seems to feel like we have gone back in time two decades,) but couldn't even be bothered to give us an EDIT button. Even being able to edit a post for up to 60 seconds after submitting the post would be helpful!

I ALSO dislike the way the 'watched threads' come up. Instead of coming up in the order in which I last posted on them, they come up 'most recently updated...' In other words, the last time someone ELSE posted on it. It's most confusing and irksome!!!

I'm curious to know whether MN did any software testing AT ALL?

And if so I really hope their testers don't test software that keeps planes in the sky or monitors people in hospital...

That's an odd complaint (much as I'm loath to defend the appalling new site!)

What other way would they come up? Both Threads I'm On & Threads I'm Watching always came up with the ones most recently updated on top, not based on when you last posted on them. For Watched threads, what other option would there be, anyway? 🤔

I'm on the app and the threads at the top of my 'threads I'm on' list all say 'thread deleted' when I click on them. One of them may have actually been deleted, but I can't see any reason for the Bridgerton thread to have gone. I don't even bother watching or bookmarking anymore because it doesn't work. It's a total shit show, tbh and a bit unbelievable that a site that generates as much money as MN does couldn't get someone in who knew what they were doing.

I’ve posted another thread in site stuff about the fact that half the app is inaccessible to voiceover users and anyone else who has to use keyboard shortcuts due to the fact they’ve been removed and all the emoticons are unlabelled.

I read somewhere that this farce took 3 years to develop. Their developers must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Maybe time to take to social media and the tabloids who advertise here so gleefully? They might not be so keen if they realise that MN’ers are so pissed off at the site.
