Should the "promoted by Mumsnet" threads go directly to Amazon?

I'd expect to open a thread, or a page with MN comments and links. Instead they're going straight to opening my Amazon app to one product.

I'm not sure I like it — I'd rather read why MNers like it, then choose to follow a link or not, rather than it look like a link to a MN thread or page but open Amazon.

Yes I agree, I hate getting caught out by those. Would be nice if we could at least comment on them

It's still doing it, and I still don't like it.

Weirdly, they're in a serif typeface rather than sans serif on the new site. It makes them easier to avoid I suppose!
