Ad Music on APP

Mumsnet please how do I stop the loud medieval advertisement music when I'm reading threads, commenting on threads... even writing this!! It's continuous. Please sort it out!!

Sorry to hear this. Can you tell us a bit more about the ad please? Is it appearing on every thread or just certain topics? If you're able to catch a screenshot, that would be helpful.

Please also let us know if you're using the android or iPhone app.

I haven't seen the ad since it came up but since then it's continuous music when using the App. I can screen record and send it over somehow to show you what I mean? (Currently playing as I type this!!!)

It was an ad about a mobile phone game If that helps. I'm on iPhone!

Hi. I have this problem too, every time I open the iPad app I get the ad music! It happened yesterday and today too. I have tried closing and reopening the app, but it is still playing the music constantly.

Hi @StillinMyPJs thanks for reporting this. Please can you tell us if this is still happening, and if so, which ad you saw? Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.

I'm getting this too - very odd & annoying!

These two ads were showing on the thread it started on.

Thanks for the screenshots @APurpleSquirrel - please can you let us know the version of device and browser that you're using? Is this also on the app?

If possible when you next see an ad, if you could provide the url it would be really helpful! If you turn your phone/device to airplane mode or turn off the connection, and then click on the ad, this will show the URL which you can copy and paste without actually opening the webpage.

It's on the app on an IPhone 11.

The music seems to have stopped now, but then the ads I'm seeing have changed too?

And the music is back again!
Different ads this time. Tried going into airplane mode & clicking the Sweat one but it took me to an App in the App Store.

Hi @APurpleSquirrel just dropping in to say that we've stopped that particular ad, so this shouldn't be an issue for you now.

Hi @APurpleSquirrel we've had a quick dig and that ad is an ad-choices advert served by Google. So if you want to send feedback, click on the little blue triangle and say that you don't want to see this.
