Lots of threads about the above in adults recently.

As it’s underdiagnosed in women, and women with these conditions are largely ignored, can we have a board to talk to each other on please?

Yes please. I would prefer one board to cover everything.

I’m going to post this on a couple of relevant threads so lukewarm apologies for the repetition but I wanted to flag up an interesting podcast episode that covers a lot of relevant ground.

I originally skipped this episode because it’s titled as though it’s purely about anti-vaccination but it turns out it covers a LOT of autism related content, including the history of autism, the controversy around Aspergers, the history of diagnosis, the MMR/Wakefield debacle and more.

Most importantly the guest contributor is autistic himself and very knowledgeable.

It’s good and it’s very accessible.

It’s an episode of “You’re wrong about” from February 2021.

Any update on the adults with ADHD board?

Seems like a reason to rant with people who understand (and actually have it!!!) presents itself every week on Mumsnet these days.....

Another request and a prompt here for a ND adults board. There are so many questions and support situations that really need their own thread but to be aimed directly at other adults with lived experience.

Adding my name to the request for our own board.

There's been virtually no traffic to my thread in SN so this clearly shows that people aren't finding their way over there.

The SN doesn't work for us, for whatever reason.

Thanks for your patience in bearing with us so far. And thanks to everyone who contributed ideas and suggestions to this thread - it's much appreciated.

In view of your suggestions, we're making some changes to the site layout - we've changed the name of 'Mumsnetters with SN' to 'Mumsnetters with disabilities', and will be changing the main section title from 'Special needs' to 'Special Needs & Disability'.
We're also setting up a new board called 'Neurodiverse Mumsnetters' and will move some recent/relevant threads into there.
