This thread is a bit like 'Where's Wally?', except that it involves you telling me where Winestein is. Has she namechanged? (Is she BoysAreLikeDogs?)

Sorry to abandon thread. DS2 woke up (har, I just wrote 'DS23'...) and now I am going to bed. Good to have you back Winey.

OP posts:
winestein · 12/11/2007 23:22

Was that it?
You mean you don't want to pick my vast brain for TRO information?
Oh, I feel all warm and snuggly that you even noticed I wasn't here.

Really though, what was it you wanted to know?

Photo's are being uploaded as fast as I can btw. So that's one so far, and I need to go to bed about an hour ago.... dammnit

JeremyVile · 12/11/2007 23:28

Actually, I just didn't want to seem too nosey.

So, was it just you and Fido?
Did you go specifically to avoid the fireworks?
Did you go walking and read books and have lunch in cosy little pubs and have a fling with a rugged farmer and ponder on the meaning of life and and and and (ok, this may be projection on my part)

Are the photos up yet??

policywonk · 13/11/2007 14:22

Oooh, nice trees.

OP posts:
winestein · 13/11/2007 21:18

More photos/trees for your delictation ladies (or whatever it might be).

It was me, Fido and DS, DP for a few days then me and Fido and DS on our own and then I went to get my mum so she could join us for a bit. I go to the same place every year specifically to get Fido away from the fireworks - he is out of his mind with terror if we stay home, but this is the first time we have stayed for 2 and a bit weeks. The place we stay is in a valley away from civilisation.

That was no projection on your part either JV. Except I didn't have a fling with a rugged farmer, but not for the want of trying, I can tell you

JeremyVile · 13/11/2007 21:27

Oh Winestein, it looks gorgeous.
Don't you just love autumn? It's the best time of year for outdoorsy stuff I think.
(and damn those pesky, fit farmers! They are such good runners ).

policywonk · 13/11/2007 21:36

Is your dog actually called Fido, or are we using that name to protect his anonymity?

OP posts:
policywonk · 13/11/2007 21:39

Ho, I do love that one of him gazing thoughtfully across a valley. Wondering how one might construct an aqueduct, perhaps.

I also admire your technique of posting a picture of yourself (presumably) taken from Very Far Away.

OP posts:
winestein · 13/11/2007 22:08

Ho yessum indeedy, autumn is the best time of year to stuff oneself into the Peak District. I do feel quite depressed about being back home. I really would make a good farmers wife. I can bake, chop logs and everything. Anyone know a good farmer who can't run at all? I leapt off a bank whilst out for a walk and due to the forces of physics nearly planted myself knee deep in the path.

Lolling about Fidos anonimity. He does actually answer to anything if you wave a pork scratching at him. I think he was gazing across the valley wondering where the nearest pork scratching outlet was. But yes, Fido is to avoid me having to tell you he is named after Ozzy Osbourne (and that his kennel name is much much worse).

Not me in the far away photos though! Am I not still showing up as the extreme close up with red hair?

policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:16

No, sorry, I am just excessively stupid. I have actually seen your photo before. I am preoccupied with profile photos at the mo, as I keep trying to take a decent one of myself (go to the darkest room in the house, turn 'good' side to camera, look up up up and hold camera above head).

Farmers are crying out for wives all over the country, you know. You might have to join the Conservative Party, but hey! You'd get to live somewhere lovely.

OP posts:
winestein · 13/11/2007 22:25

Hmmm... some sacrifices are just too great

I can recommend a 1 megapixel camera for profile shots - gives a nice pixellated/flattering effect without having to resort to Adobe.

JeremyVile · 13/11/2007 22:35

PW - If you are doing a picture for your profile, may I request that you include in the shot 2 rulers?

One held horizontally under your chin, the other verticlly running alongside your cheek.

Please make sure the measurements are clearly visible.

And NO smart arse angles - I can tell.

Thanks.

policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:39

LOL

I know it's bitchy, but there are soooo many profile photos like that.

You got yours right JV - hold a ruddy big bunch of balloons in front of your face

(You're gorgeous really)
(And you winey)

OP posts:
policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:40

Oh hang on, you're accusing me of maximus facimus.

I'll have you know I have a tiny, weeny little head.

OP posts:
winestein · 13/11/2007 22:43

Uhm. Yeah. Right.

My head is a balloon. Serioulsy, it's the biggest head I know of. Shall we have a competition of sorts? "worst photograph competition"?

No. I'm not starting it.

policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:50

OK. Check it out. It's coming down in about five minutes...

OP posts:
JeremyVile · 13/11/2007 22:50

I just want to compare face measurements PW - that's all.
Honestly, if a girl can't innocently request to know a pals facial dimensions (to the nearest mm)then sheesh....I dunno...tsk

So, Wino...you have a massive head too??
Tell me more.....

JeremyVile · 13/11/2007 22:53

Check the boobies on PW!! Fuwit-fuwoo

(Why do you also have a photo of Jackie O and Art Garfunkel? Are they family?)

winestein · 13/11/2007 22:54

Oh christ - I don't know what I'm laughing most at - the distance of 15 years or the fact that you don't seemt to have noticed you are friends with not only a ginger but a ginger with an afro

policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:55

Snort!

I am Jackie O, you loon. Art Garfunkel is my mate. We were young, and we had big hair. Actually, he still does.

God, I put on sooo much weight after having DS1 (when that horrid photo was taken). My chocolate digestive consumption was something to behold.

OP posts:
JeremyVile · 13/11/2007 22:55

Wino - pray that's not Mr PW.....

winestein · 13/11/2007 22:55

oi, Vile.
Are you suggesting I have a big arse?

policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:56

RIGHT

I have shared

Your turn

winestein · 13/11/2007 22:56
policywonk · 13/11/2007 22:57

hahhahahahah

Not Mr PW (he did have a damned good go though)

(God I hope his wife isn't reading this. Hi Carole!)
