Name change problem

Name changed for a thread yesterday but can’t change back. When I type usual name in the box it says that it’s taken and won’t let me save it.
Using website on iPad.
Any help gratefully appreciated!

Sorry to hear you're having problems changing your username. We've had a look at your account and everything appears in order at this end. Can we just check, when you go to type your name in, are you seeing a list of your previous usernames?

No. I can see the list of names in ‘usernames used’ but when I type in the username box no list comes up.
Nothing happens if I click on the ‘Show details of nickname history’ link either?

Hmm.

Could you try logging out and back in again (yes, that old chestnut!) - just so we can say we've exhausted all options when we get our Tech team to take a look.

By the way, if you're in a desperate hurry to change your name back we can do it for you at this end, but obviously it'd be best all round if we can work out what's going wrong so you can do it yourself in future.
