Premium issue?

@MNHQ All of a sudden I've started getting loads of ads, is there an issue with Premium again? Just before it started I had a pop up asking me to agree to cookies/privacy or something, didn't really read it but did click agree, I don't know if that's connected.

Hi OP

We're really sorry about this - can we ask when you paid for premium, and what adverts you're seeing? Device, browser and any screenshots would be very helpful. We're very keen to get to the bottom of this for you.

I paid for it right when it first launched. I'm using a Huawei PSmart 2019, in Chrome. Getting multiple ads on each page, both banner ads and smaller ones within the threads. Still have a small banner at the top saying Premium though

Premium issue?

I'm having the same problem, I paid for a whole year in June and have just had ads popping up all over today!

TweetleBeetlesBattle · 26/11/2020 03:59

I also started having this problem yesterday, I'm on a samsung phone and have been subscribed since the start.

DebbieFiderer · 26/11/2020 06:08

I'm glad it's not just me! I did have a simar issue back in the summer when my first repeat payment went out but they sorted it very quickly, fingers crossed for the same today.

I've got the same problem for the second time in 3 weeks. It's really pissing me off, if it's not sorted very quickly I'm cancelling the Premium subscription and installing an ad blocker instead.

Hi - thanks for the reports on this. We're just dropping in to say that there was a temporary issue with the hosting provider, which is causing this problem.

The hosting provide is working on it but until it is resolved if you are seeing ads then please try logging out and logging in again and it should reset things.

We're very sorry about this and it’s affecting thousands of sites not just us by the way! Thanks for your patience. Flowers

Fab, that seems to have done the trick!

It has reminded me why I pay! The ads are a nightmare!

bellagogosdead · 26/11/2020 08:49

Hi all

Thanks so much for your patience.

We were having some issues with our server yesterday but it should all be working as normal now - if it isn't, please could you log out of MN and back in again? That should sort it!

bellagogosdead · 26/11/2020 09:02

Nope.

bellagogosdead · 26/11/2020 09:08

Logged in and out again, again. Now seems to be ok.

soniamumsnet · 26/11/2020 09:27

Hi @bellagogosdead that's good to hear! Thanks for your patience. Flowers

@bellagogosdead

It has reminded me why I pay! The ads are a nightmare!
Agreed. Maybe it's a ploy to keep us paying 😉
