No longer able to have 1000 messages per page

Is everyone else the same? I can only select 25, 50 or 100 messages per page now when previously I could select 1000. That option isn’t there anymore.

Hello, yes I have a new phone! iPhone SE. I’m using the mobile site. However I also tried on my laptop to on the desktop site and still only have the 100 option as the maximum.

Viewing 1000 messages per thread is only available to those who registered prior to 2016 - it's likely that swapping devices updated this for you. Sorry about that.

But I had it prior to changing my phone this week and I only registered my account this year.

Hmm, that's strange. Have you only ever had the one account with us or is there any chance you were using an older one?

We're trying to work out what's gone on here but we're not entirely sure! With your previous phone, were you using the mobile site?

Yes I got mumsnet last year and can also see 1k messages per thread. P.s don't take that away from me please!

I have used the site FAR less since losing 1000 messages per page. I can’t be bothered to wait for yet another page to load. As soon as a thread has too many pages, I go elsewhere. It’s so counterintuitive to getting people to use the site.

I would agree with this, especially with the adverts that take ages to load and make the page jump. It’s just another hurdle to prevent easy usage.

The websites make the site almost unusable. It’s the only website that’s made me use an adblocker. I whitelist most other sites, but this site just doesn’t work on an iPad.

Where do we go to see how long we have been here ? I've tried looking on the profile page. I'm sure you used to be able to see it?
