Dear Mumsnet Towers, please can we keep our 'threads I'm on' for more than 3 days?

I often 'lose' all my conversations because I go to work for 3 nights and when I get back onto MN on the 4th night, they're all gone! and I don't know how so-and-so got on and what happened with this that and the other and the other day, the top I agreed to buy was sold to someone else (they waited long enough for me but I didn't get the message) even 5 days would be good.....any chance?

Oh yes please, 5 days or even a week would be good.

Put it on your watch list.

Tortington · 15/10/2007 17:24

and over a couple of pages

3Ddonut · 15/10/2007 18:10

I should hunker, but I never think to and never think I'll be away as long as I am!

Will have a work with Techola and see if we can't make this a customisable option too... we'll be back!

3Ddonut · 15/10/2007 20:25

Thankyou so much Justine!!!!

I have a mass posting on threads during the weekend, and as I mostly kill the threads, I dont want to see them for 3 days, let alone any longer!!!

Hi there all, we are just working on customisable talk stuff, so we'll make it so you can choose how many days your threads I'm on lives for.... actually why am i posting, that is pretty much exactly what justine said....

littleNonSpecificHolidaylapin · 16/10/2007 19:53

Back to work you!

muppetgirl · 16/10/2007 19:56

Is there any way to delete a thread so it doesn't stay for 3 days. Sometimes a quick post is all that's needed and then you're stuck with the thread for days......

MeMySonAndI · 16/10/2007 19:56

I would be happy about the customizable option, there are some threads I want to forget about as soon as I post in them, and they keep creeping on my recent conversation for 3 looooooonnngggg days!!!

muppetgirl · 16/10/2007 19:57 this one

Tinker · 16/10/2007 19:58

Pah! I asked about this as well aaaagggeeesss ago and was fobbed off with Put it on Watch.

MamaG · 17/10/2007 08:37

AND can we have more than 30? (or however many it is)

I hate to miss things!

Tech · 17/10/2007 21:40

Tinker we weren't ignoring you, honest. we been storing up lists of requested improvements for ages. It's just that we are only just doing them (at least I should be doing them). I'll look at upping the limit. It should be simple enough to make it configurable.

Tinker · 17/10/2007 21:49

You're forgiven.

empen · 17/10/2007 21:58

I would like the option to select certain ones to keep for longer and others to get rid of. Some conversations are over in one night but others can go on for weeks
