Bookmarks messing up page navigation within threads

Don't think anyone's reported this yet, but there seems to be a new issue with navigating within threads. If you bookmark a post on (say) the last page of the thread, and then use the "First" or "Prev" buttons to try to move to a different page, it now isn't working but jumps back to the bookmark instead. I suspect someone's made a techy change recently but it's gone a bit wrong so any bookmarks placed are now overruling any other navigation instructions. Hope that helps...

Came here to report the same issue, noticed yesterday or the day before but it was just random then now it's consistent, I can only access the page I've bookmarked and navigation buttons don't work.

Can you please let us know which device you're using to view Mumsnet and which version of the site? (desktop, mobile, or app).

And @Butterer are we right in assuming you're using the mobile site? (We know that some people still use the desktop site on their mobiles, so we just need to check).

We'll pass on all of your answers to our Tech team and hopefully get things working normally again before very long.

I've just had this issue too — mobile site, Safari, iPhone.

I bookmarked the last post on a thread. Previous/next seem ok, but First takes me to my bookmarked post. So does going to page 2 and clicking previous. Typing in numbers works except when I type "1". Then I get an error page (thread not found I think).

I've been having the same problem in the last few days using both Firefox and Opera (desktop site/Windows). And also using Opera on mobile site/android.

Exactly as described by Polkadots. I can get to the first page either by bookmarking the OP, or by clicking 'see all' on the OP's posts and then 'go to post'.

The other thing that's happening is a problem on active posts- if you click 'load more', it takes you to the bottom of the next lot of posts, rather than keeping your place at the end of the first lot/beginning of the second lot. I think I'm using the mobile site by default..

I'm having both of these issues.

Android, chrome, mobile site.

Only just seen this. I am having the same issue, I can go from page 3 to 2 from where I bookmarked, but then can't go on to page 1. The saved box stays in Previous bookmarked post.
iPad , safari , desk top.

And yes Load More goes to a weird/confusing place in the page so I rarely use it. Just switch between I'm on and Active so that the page has refreshed by the time I go back.

I'm experiencing this issue, though I remember seeing this thread when it was first posted and I didn't notice any problems at the time.

I'm on Firefox browser on android.

I've also been having this problem for a few weeks. Android, Samsung internet. Have to open in secret mode if I want to see the first post again!
