Adverts blocking page

Was previously fixed and now it’s back. On IOS the pop up adverts completely obscure content and cannot be clicked away

Yep! me too when I go from mobile site to desktop. That's on an iPhone and using Safari.

Sorry to hear these ads are getting in the way again. Is there any chance you can post a screenshot so we can see the problem? We'll get our Ads team on the case as soon as we can give them a bit more info.

I only tend to go on desktop when I’m doing Nightwatch stuff on my phone.

And even after I’ve posted the message.

Hi again, have been asked to check whether any of you are using the desktop version of the site on your mobile devices, and if so, whether you could try switching over to the mobile version just to see if that helps?

Ah. Yes mobile site is better. Although not sure why I’m defaulting to the desktop site when I’m normally on the mobile site. Is that the issue?

Funny you should say that...

There does seem to be an issue with templates (being looked into by the team right now). It should be that your device keeps you locked into the mobile version unless you specifically choose to move over to the desktop one, but it's possible something's going wrong.

@Binterested - do you tend to log in and out often? Would you mind checking what happens when you log out now - it would be good to know whether you're diverted back to the desktop site when you log back in.

How do I switch to the mobile site? Happy to give it a go but not sure how!

We've removed the option for desktop now because mobile provides a much better experience.

If you clear your cache and then access the site using a mobile device, you will see the mobile version from now on and you can't change it back.
