As some of you have already spotted, we've just released a feature that allows filtering threads to see all the OP's posts, and to jump to the next post from the OP. This is something a number of you have been wanting for a while. It's being rolled out across multiple servers and across the app over the next 24 hours - so don't panic if you don't see it immediately - it's on it's way!

In addition we've released filter posts by User (as well as by OP) for Premium members.

We tested a few different variations with Mumsnetters so hopefully it's intuitive and useful but it's just a first pass and we will be improving the design, so please do, as ever, let us know if anything's amiss or confusing.

Further explanation here:
Filter by OP
You will now see two options at the bottom of the OP posts - ‘see next’ will skip you to the next post by the OP and ‘see all’ will show you a filtered view of all the posts by the OP on that thread. You’ll need to be logged in to use this feature.

Filter by user
On mobile, on any post click the menu icon (the icon with the three dots), and click 'See all posts'. On desktop, click the 'See all' link in the top right hand corner of any post. This will show you a filtered view of all the users posts on that thread. This is a premium feature so you’ll be prompted to sign in or create a premium account to use it.

Please can we now tar and fricken feather all the "haven't FRTFT, but here's my totally irrelevant tuppence worth" posters?

first against the wall

PurpleDaisies · 02/07/2020 14:22

Thrilled with this!

Pangur2 · 02/07/2020 14:23

Oh ... so now when I suspect an OP of sock-puppeting, a quick click will reveal their aliases on the thread, yes?

I've been right before.

GinnyStrupac · 02/07/2020 15:21

There's posh, MNHQ Gin

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 02/07/2020 15:21

Love it!

Now no one can say they've "not read the whole thread" - they can just press that, read all the OP updates and then post.

Beamur · 02/07/2020 15:24

Looks really good.
Has there been a tidy up of the layout too? It just looks a bit fresher and neater.

BIWI · 02/07/2020 15:28

OMG - a change on Mumsnet that everyone likes! Grin

Sock puppeting? What does that mean?
BIWI · 02/07/2020 15:42

It's when one person uses two different names on the same thread, usually to agree with themselves - it's a form of trolling that will get the poster deleted/banned.

Doesn't work on the android app for me, is it meant to?

Same as most clicky links never come up in blue.

DramaAlpaca · 02/07/2020 16:06

Ooh, excellent! I like it.

Just thought I'd say I also like the quote feature. I didn't think I would, but I do and I find it very useful when I'm feeling too lazy to type something out

I didn't think I'd like the quote function either but I was wrong, I'm using it all the time, MN isn't your homework, you don't have to do it the hard way, no need to justify using the functionality Grin

It works on the andriod app for me, do you need to upgrade maybe?
EasilyDelighted · 02/07/2020 16:26

Erm, I'm already getting irritated by it, is it possible to hide or disable it on the mobile version?

EasilyDelighted · 02/07/2020 16:29

Or could it be hidden away in the three dots like everything else?

BitOfFun · 02/07/2020 16:33

Fantastic, thank you Justine Flowers
