Search by poster gone?

Just tried to find an old post of mine and spotted the search by poster option has gone.

Is this a mistake?

It is really handy ASing a name . I often see something and do not have time but somehow remember who said something great . I like to use it to look back at things I've been on too.

I am really missing my rabid stalking.

Me too. I like to see people's takes on different things. Also, when I see a post that I think could be 'exaggerated', searching for other comments that person has made can put things in context. It's amazing how many times MN towers have deleted a thread I've had suspicions about, because they think it's not genuine.
I do also search myself to find threads I've commented on and want to see if there's any outcome. I found the thread about the baby born at 23 weeks and noticed mum had posted an updated picture. It was lovely to see.

I think it's a good thing.

Stops people dragging stuff up from the past, to rub in peoples faces, and use as ammo against them.

@pleasepleasepleasehelp, on the flipside there will be a lot more trollhunting due to not being able to see if the op with a dubious thread is new or not.

When is this actually going to be fixed? I feel like I can see a lot of opportunistic trolls taking advantage at the moment.

I think it's been disabled as opposed to broken. I wonder if it's because of the CV climate and emotions running high.

Also, i think AS is important. When someone says theyve been married for a happy 8 years and want to go to counselling with their dh who has from nowhere done something awful, the AS almost always shows the dh was a knob. If we didn't have AS people would say it is a one off, forgive, be kind. Whats going on with his mental health. With AS people can say, he is abusive. He has been testing your boundaries. Run. Background makes a difference.

I agree that the loss of this feature and the timing of its loss is unfortunate. When will it be restored?

I would take a small bet that it's being made a Premium Feature and we'll have to pay to have it back. Can we have confirmation?

PurpleDaisies and BovaryX see Justine's thread about MN Premium in Site Stuff today. She replied to my question asking about this saying they briefly rolled out a fix today but it wasn't quite right and that it shouldn't be too long now. Hopefully!
