Flashing adverts on sidebar

Can anyone help, no matter what I do I have flashing adverts on the side of mumsnet. I have never had them on any other website. I try “report ad to google” but they come back again almost immediately.

I’m at my wits end, I have epilepsy and it’s making me unable to use the site.

Does anyone know how to stop them??

Oh I’m really sorry, with everything going on I’d forgotten I’d started this!

I’ve just taken a screenshot and when I came on this page got another ad up. Now got one for Uber, they are are all flashing ads but never ever got flashing ads on any other site! Also get one constantly for some extremely ugly shoes.

I get these too, they're really intrusive.

Please get rid of them. There was a menacing looking man today flashing away on the side bar. Oh, he’s back. It’s very flashy and making it hard to read a thread. It’s too much for my brain.

He’s back flashing. It’s extremely flashy. Unhealthy amounts.

Can someone do something about this, I can’t use the site again, and surely you’re not supporting these kind of adverts? Cashing in on the pandemic??

Sorry to hear these ads are flashing at you again, @GeneHuntgoosedme and @Thesuzle - and please rest assured they're not a ploy to get anyone to subscribe.

Our ad team are on the case and we'll get back to you with an update as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we're really sorry that these ads are making the site unusable for some MNers.
