MNHQ (and four bottles of Baileys) HERE: If you could ask anyone anything - who and what would you ask, we ask?

Hello folks,

We're thinking about arranging some official AMA (Ask Me Anything) threads and we'd love to know who your dream AMA guest is.

Ever wondered what Tom Hardy dips into his tea? Lost sleep whilst thinking about how Claudia gets her hair so glossy? Curious as to whether her Maj ever settles down with Phil and a tray of snacks to binge-watch The Crown?

Or maybe you’ve wondered what working life is like for a paramedic; how successful entrepreneurs made their fortune; or what school receptionists find most annoying about their job?

Anything goes - so let your imagination run free and tell us who you’d like to see do an AMA by the 20th March to be in with a chance to win a limited edition bottle of Red Velvet Cupcake Baileys. We'll be picking four random winners from this thread.

In the meantime, you can check out some past AMAs here to get some ideas.

P.S If you want to ogle at Baileys collection of flavours, click this creamy link (but you'll need to confirm your age, first).

I'd like to ask Adele if she would consider doing some live concerts. The night I saw her at the O2 was one of the best of my life.

geekone · 06/03/2020 23:45

I would like to ask Marie Curie how did you manage to work in science and be relevant and have kids?

It’s difficult enough in the 21st century to have a job and be meaningful and be a good mother. How did you manage? What were your challenges? What kept you going and what did you love? Right now bringing girls to stem careers is forefront but keeping them once they have children doesn’t seem to be, your insight and experience would be valued.

Backhometothenorth · 07/03/2020 07:00

I'd like to hear from people who remember life in World War 2.

FredaFrogspawn · 07/03/2020 07:47

backhome Why not volunteer in a residential care home? Lots of people over their late eighties have amazing stories to tell. Stories which will be lost soon. Why not record some of them if it’s ok with the narrators? Be part of recording history.

Marshmello · 07/03/2020 07:55

I'd ask the best man I know to stop kissing me for a moment and hand me another saucer of champagne.

YouDancin · 07/03/2020 09:28

I would ask my grandmother about her life and her best joke and her thoughts on everything. She died when I was very young.

SilveryWrath · 07/03/2020 10:30

@dellacucina Monica Lewinsky is quite active on Twitter and often refers to the Clinton era etc.

I believe Tiffany lives at cannock, staffs, which I find quite amusing don't know why.

I'd like to hear from any criminal that's had a new identity, what is everyday life like e tc.

MrsJoshNavidi · 07/03/2020 12:20

I would ask Mary how she actually got pregnant.

Ohyesiam · 07/03/2020 17:08

I would like to ask James McAvoy if we could escape to a parallel universe where he fancies me as much as I fancy him, and we could do everything we want with one another.

Oh that would be soooooo lovely.

aquashiv · 07/03/2020 19:34

I'd like to ask Einsteins wife is she annoyed he got all the credit.

PashleyB · 07/03/2020 20:03

I would ask Brandon Flowers whether he is only human or only dancer :)

(but more seriously would think he would be interesting)

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 07/03/2020 22:32

Derren Brown - I would like to know where the lottery bus footage went and if it will ever see the light of day Grin

Molly Ringwald - What were the changes she wanted making to the Oil and Vinegar screenplay and where one could find it now

Any Glitterball Strictly pro, past or present - routine they are proudest of and inner workings of production over the years (songs, props, order of dance)

Richard Osman - his murder-mystery book's coming out in September, surely you can get him for pre publicity? I would ask him what topics he would want in the final round of Pointless and whether he would ever consider doing Xmas Strictly (I am aware of his nystagmus but Libby on Dancing on Ice has shown that with the right pro, anything is possible and I would love to see him dance an American Smooth with Nadiya)

Patricia Heaton (also has a book out soon) - I am a huge The Middle fan so would probably ask whether she would ever contemplate a one-off reunion episode September 2029. But after the fangirling I would probably ask her about she aligns being a feminist with being anti abortion.

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 07/03/2020 22:40

Ooh, would also ask Osman who his ideal casting would be for the four septugenarian friends in the book I haven't read yet but has been signed up for a film deal already...and how many hours he wrote a day in the 18 months he took to write it when he was presumably also filming House of Games and Pointless

Look, just get me Richard Osman, 'kay! Wink

Enough4me · 07/03/2020 23:22

The tooth fairy - what happens with the teeth, recycled somewhere? Confused

BUNNIESandBISCUITS · 07/03/2020 23:23

I'd like some women who were 'firsts' in their field to collaborate on an AMA thread, like a mass interview where different experiences would give different responses to the same question. It would gave the potential to span women from lots of generations as well as locations and careers.

Dogsaresomucheasier · 07/03/2020 23:45

I’m a teacher. I’d love to meet some of the first kids I taught and find out how life has been for them.

I’d also have quite a few for God, including why did you take John Smith before he got to be prime minister...

Rationalbutangrycat · 08/03/2020 01:10

Light hearted - Mick Jagger. Seriously, about that mars bar....?
Hmm

Rationalbutangrycat · 08/03/2020 01:16

Oh, and Garth Brooks.
Do you really think the standoff off for the 5th and final concert was worth it, bearing in mind most of 5th's concert would have been to at least one of the other ones? Don't you think 4 out of 5 was better than none at all for your fans?
Yes, Garth, Im still Angry

Rationalbutangrycat · 08/03/2020 01:19

Oops..Forgot to say Im referring to Irish concerts.
But he will know!!! He will bluddy well know what Im talking about!

BUNNIESandBISCUITS · 08/03/2020 09:57

Dogsaresomucheasier I bet that would be SO lovely!

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 08/03/2020 10:39

AMA with Alison Rose CEO of NatWest would be a good one..... how does she support women in her firm, female business owners. How does she juggle it?

HavelockVetinari · 08/03/2020 12:22

I'd like to hear from Robert Buckland (SoS for Justice) and I'd ask him what he plans to do to rectify the abysmal conviction rate for rape.

hiredandsqueak · 08/03/2020 14:42

I'd like to ask Carrie Symonds "What is Boris like away from the cameras?" and "If he wasn't PM would she still find him attractive?"

ScorpionQueen · 08/03/2020 15:44

I saw "I'd ask Carrie Symonds what Boris was like..." before clicking the thread and fully expected the sentence to end "in bed!"
Thank goodness I was wrong still curious though .

Tequilamockinbird · 08/03/2020 16:51

I'd like to ask someone from the Royal Family what The Queen actually carries in her handbag. And does she slob around in her PJs at home when she's not out on Royal engagements?
