Password and App

The app logged me out and won’t accept my password to log back in. I’ve requested an email to change my password but the link from that just brings me to the desktop site where I still can’t change my password because it won’t accept the old one! I’m just going round in circles. What can I do?

Thanks for the reports. If you can reset your passwords and make sure the reset is done in a non logged in browser, for example incognito, you should be able to log back in.

But Mumsnet says my password is wrong so how can I change it?

The same thing happens to me last night! I ended up creating a new account!

I wouldn’t be able to post at all except for I stayed logged into the desktop site when the app wouldn’t let me post photos last week.

@soniamumsnet I can’t log in incognito because when I enter my email address it does this!

Thanks for the screenshot. Can we just check that you're doing the following:

Enter the email and then forgot password -> email will be sent -> click the link which will take you to a page where you can enter your new password.

If you're still having problems, please email us directly at: [email protected] and we'll see what we can do to help.

Thanks for your email Sonia but the link just brings me to MN home page. When I go into settings I can’t change my password without using the present one which it doesn’t recognise.

Also the app doesn’t recognise my email address.

I’m having the same problem. The reset your password brings you back to the main mumsnet page and not a reset your password page.

And even when you go into settings to change it it won’t accept your current password which is needed in order to change to a new password. Can you issue us a temporary password @mnhq?
