I've tried numerous times to post a link and it doesn't work.
I use before and afterwards and every time the link does post in blue but always misses the first word.
Example it down for me
My link is supposed to be the thread Break it down for me
I'm using an iPad and Safari. I've also tried on an iPhone using the app and it just won't work. I'm an old person so I suspect it's me but I'd love to know how to get it right

Thanks for getting in touch. We're not really sure what's going on here, could you please post a screenshot of the text in your post in the box where you type it? That would hopefully help us figure out what's going on here.

OP to post links in the OP of a thread you need to put pairs of square brackets [ [ URL ] ] around the URL (without the gaps)

To post a link in the body of a thread just post the URL without brackets and it will convert.

To post words instead of the URL square brackets URL your text close square brackets - the only gap should be between the URL and the text. I'm sorry of this is patronising but your screenshot shows no URL.

Examples below (screenshot shows what I typed)

First post: www.mumsnet.com
In thread: www.mumsnet.com
With text: Mumsnet

It's all going to be fine

I find it easiest to copy and post the link from the page I am linking too, rather than trying to type it all out.
