Being asked one every page to confirm privacy settings

Mobile site, chrome browser on Android.

gosh, I was about to come and ask about this. The other day, I was asked about 6 times , moving from one thread to another. Then I was asked again this morning. It hangs for ages too .

Can we ask if you're using private browsing or an adblock at all?

It's been happening to me on both Android and iOS. No adblock

I keep getting this on Chrome, it doesn't happen every time as it's fine for a while and then it asks me 8 or 9 times in a row. I'm not using private browsing but I do have an adblocker, it makes no difference if I disable it.

It's happened a few times on iOS as well.

We know there's an issue happening with regards to adblocker. It might be a case of trying to get rid of the blocker altogether rather than disabling it.

I don't have an adblocker on my tablet which is where I was getting the problem.

Oh, and not in private mode either.

Hell will freeze over before I get rid of the adblocker! It happens on IOS without an adblocker.

Sceptical me says that there is a different reason for MN wanting me to disable the adblocker. I have successfully used MN (and the whole Internet) with the same adblocker for over 10 years and haven't had problems with it before and only have the problem on MN intermittently - it hasn't happened today.

I think it's intentional. There's only so many times you can be fucked with clicking through to deny all access, before you think 'fuck it' and just click okay to fish for all the information wanted

Well if nothing else, I've finally sat down and spent a happy afternoon learning how to setup my own DNS using a raspberry pi, and "pihole" . With an added advantage that all my DNS queries are safe from the prying eyes of my ISP, as I've implemented DNS over HTTPS - thank you Cloudflare.

I'll see if killing off some of the domains being pulled in by MN pages has any effect.

I didn't get asked yesterday. Have come on just now, and been asked , 1st time today - thats after I was on earlier

mm - have been asked 3 times just now, once whilst typing on here , after being asked yesterday as well . Annoying

This happened to me earlier today. Firefox on my laptop.

This happened to me loads a few weeks ago, but all quiet on the western front atm....

I'm not bothering with Mumsnet because the cookie messages are too much hassle. I came back to see if it's fixed and it hasn't improved.

Still happening here on a daily basis, laptop with chrome.
