Hi Mumsnet, I post frequently under another username. I switched to this one to ask for some help on a specific issue that I didn’t want tied to my main name. Now it won’t let me change it back. I can post under my ‘normal’ name but I have to type it into the username box above the post every time, and I can’t send pms in that name. When I go to my account, it won’t let me change back to my normal name; it says ‘name already in use by another poster’, despite that name being listed in my ‘past usernames’ list, and despite me being able to post in that name as long as I type it in each time. Am I doing something wrong? I would love to go back to my old default name.
