In disability discrimination situations where rights have to be carefully balanced you'll find a lot of training materials from advisory bodies including numerous case studies, demonstrating how to find your way through balancing rights, and what tips the scale either way. It's known not to be a cut and dried thing. But it can be discussed, talked about, the difficult questions asked and looked into, and that's how it works.

Where are the case studies and the explanations of how to balance rights here? Why the hell is a body like the NSPCC unable to answer questions on this matter and explain the reasoning and how to balance the needs and keep all parties safe? If it's all fine then great, explain it! Win hearts and minds. Bring people around to your pov by reasoned explanation and argument and end these concerns you think are so revolting they can't be talked about.

Another safeguarding mantra: Nothing is so bad that it can't be talked about.

That’s what I assumed would’ve happened. The NSPCC’s no show makes me think it didn’t!

some mums taking over the whole discussion on one topic

Just cos nobody else could be arsed to post doesnt mean the posters who could be arsed to post...should be told off for posting

Honestly, its getting a bit silly now ' oh i didnt want to post because ....insert reason......but you people shouldn't have posted either'

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 05/09/2018 08:14
