Typing extremely sloooow, only on this site.

Hi,

I’m on an iPad Air, posting on the regular site, not the app. When typing, the words take ages to appear on screen. I type a few words, sit back and watch the keyboard catch up and finally the words appear on screen. . It seems to be only this site that this happens on.

Any ideas of what I can do to sort it?

Just typing a post to see how it is for me. Still playing up. Ok sometimes then back to its usual tricks.

Thanks for letting us know. Are there any trends you've noticed as to when this does and doesn't happen?

I'm not having this issue but for those who are - it might be useful to try checking the memory usage of your browser when it's happening. I only know how to do this on Chrome on a desktop - you go to the three dots menu, more tools, and then task manager. Whether it's similar on other browsers/devices, I don't know.

It's happened to me before, on a Samsung Galaxy 6 on Chrome.

It’s happening again! I think it’s when there are video adverts on the site

I have this.

In my case I know its because of the automatic playing ads on the site taking up memory. I get it on others where ads automatically play as well.

Forget the 8-9am thing, it’s as bad as ever right now!

It’s taking about 5 minutes to type a ruddy sentence!

Type. Wait for words to appear on screen. Notice autocorrect has made some interesting errors cause drowsiness by the typing del twice. That meant to read hit delete twice but I hit delete incense and it took out half my sentence. No idea where the word drowsiness came from I did not type that. Nor did I type incense. I typed ‘once’ .

Aaarrrggghhh.

Just trying to get across to you what this is actually like. All the time..

Mine is the same - iPad mini2 with safari. All the time. No grammarly app, all other sites fine. The other really annoying aspect is it keeps capitalising the first few letters (probably due to the lag) so I look like I'm shouting half the time! I just use my phone instead but it's annoying.

Oh and mine inserts random words too! Auto suggest or something?!
