Typing extremely sloooow, only on this site.

Hi,

I’m on an iPad Air, posting on the regular site, not the app. When typing, the words take ages to appear on screen. I type a few words, sit back and watch the keyboard catch up and finally the words appear on screen. . It seems to be only this site that this happens on.

Any ideas of what I can do to sort it?

Hi CurlsandCurves, that sounds pretty annoying, we'll get our Tech lot to take a look and see whether they're got any idea what's going on.

In the meantime could you let us know what browser you're using.

Omg me too!! I’ve been blaming my iPad and done a factory reset and everything! I’m on an iPad Air too.

I’m using safari by the way.

I'm having this on my iPad too. Was about to do a reset, but realised it's just on mumsnet thanks to the op. Am using Safari. It's taken me a couple of minutes to type this!

Mac/iPad user here - I had this problem when I was trialling Grammarly; I removed it and all was well.

The other thing that happens for me is if I know I’ve mis spelt something I hit delete say 3 times and it takes out half a sentence!

Hi, any news on this problem? It’s getting worse! Type a whole sentence, then sit back and wait for it to appear. I just pressed the delete button a single time and it took away half of the sentence I’d just typed!

Driving me crazy, I can’t keep up with fast moving threads im onas it’s just too arduous to deal with. Not going to correct the above spelling and grammar mistakes, it would add about another 2 mins to creating this post!

Still having same issue. My delete key takes out half the sentence too

I have this occasionally too. I'm on a standard Windows PC using Microsoft Edge. Drives me nuts.

Not sure if connected but I'm on mobile site on safari and pages REALLY slow loading and sometimes not loading at all getting error messages etc.

No grammarly here either.

It’s really annoying me.

I often find MN unusable on my tablet - painfully slow and laggy. It seems to be because of the ads.

This has happened to me too but seems to be ok today

I thought it was to do with the ads loading?

I’ve been having issues where Safari freezes if I try to go back and edit a post. It’s still doing it today. This is also only on MN.
