MN HQ Have you pressed a button and made it all go funny?

My MN has gone all wrong. I can't get "all topics" from the menu at the top of the page. It only shows a few tabs, none of which load. I can only get to all topics by going round the houses.

no quick route to site stuff anymore when you scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Something is different, not entirely sure what? Is it the line across the screen near the top?

Yes they've put some drop-down menus at the top, added a link to Active and put a newly-designed button for My Mumsnet. That's all I can spot so far!

Bring back the shortcuts at the bottom of the page please.

MNHQ Tech were tinkering, again, a few weeks ago. Yes, it's all gone 'funny' - again. Surprise, surprise. Again.

I don't like it sometimes I can get all the topics, other times not. why mess with things?? if it ain't broke!......

Some of us have been saying this for years - do they take any notice?

I like the option to view in desktop mode, which seems to have disappeared now. I would also like the shortcuts at the bottom back. I don't like all these new changes. I hate change when it is not necessary. Sorry MHQ.

I'm still using desktop view on both my laptop and iPad, Joolly2. It's never disappeared for me. If you go right down the the bottom bottom of the page, you should find the option to toggle between the mobile site (which is what, I guess, you might be looking at at the moment) and the desktop site.

Thanks Panpan. Is there any way to make desktop my default setting? It seems to revert to mobile every time. Technology gives me the rage.

Yes it's all gone funny. The drop down full list of topics has disappeared.

Please put the site back as it was as I only use a PC and not a bloody mobile thingy or at least give use to option to chose WHAT we want to use.

I hate the adverts and can't get rid

I hate that I get to the bottom of a HUGE thread and can no longer just press a button on the bottom menu to get straight back to Chat or AIBU. I have no desire to scroll back through 800+ posts on the thread to get back to the top menu.

There's a back to top button under the reply box and all the ads usually.

Can we have shortcuts at the bottom back please

Mind you I’ve been more productive today than I usually am as I can’t be bothered scroll through loads of posts.

Yes, shortcuts at the bottom of the page back please! I can’t now flick between Aibu and chat and it’s really irritating

Hi @ExBbqQueen, we made some changes to the header and the footer a few weeks ago, bringing in a unified design across the site.

Based on feedback, we added AIBU and Chat shortcuts to the footer last week. These aren't going anywhere for the foreseeable future

If there's anything else we can do to make the navigation easier let us know...
