Just in case you've not seen it, mn are proposing to delete pms are 60 days. They are waiting to see what feedback they get - either way - before they decide to do it or not.

It's quite a change, so thought people might appreciate a heads up if it's something they feel strongly about.

@JaneyEJones

You're not the poo troll are you *@DawnMumsnet*?

How funny mods having civilian accounts. Not sure I could go to work and forget all the annoying arses complaining about everything, I'd be finding spurious reasons for breaking TG's and zapping them Grin.

Busted.

Seriously, though. Not sure that we all do - I joined years and years ago when my first DC was starting school (he's finished school now, so it's been a fair while). Hardly ever get to post these days but have tapped in every now and then over the years - it's a hard habit to break. Back then I'd have been asking about mastitis, nowadays it's more likely to be the menopause... Where did all those years go?! Shock

@DawnMumsnet I'm now fascinated by whether you've ever found yourself sockpuppeting on your own threads or found yourself having a post deleted and in receipt of a stern email from MNHQ. Grin

With regard to the question I'd rather keep my PMs.

Imchlibob · 22/05/2018 06:08

I would rather keep PMs too. As a regular name-changer the PM functionality is vital to ensure communication with individual MNers makes sense. PMs should be like email - up to us to store as long as we like or delete. It would be fine to impose a mailbox size if it's a storage issue.

My pms go back years....they're a timeline of my MN usage. I wouldn't want to lose that Sad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/05/2018 14:58

mn posted on the other thread that they won't be deleting pms. Hurrah!
