Sad

Is there any chance you can make my train journeys happier? It just gets stuck in a loop...

Have you got it starting with
I think the 's' makes it a secure seeing.

Phosphorus · 27/04/2018 17:23

I get that when I'm not properly connected to a network.

If I use mobile data, or register for a train company's own WiFi, it connects properly.

BlazeAway · 27/04/2018 17:57

I definitely have the s, but thank you Damson.

Hmm, I don’t know how I could connect more properly; I’m registered and it seems to be working for other stuff — I can watch their online shows and go on other websites.

Hi BlazeAway - we're sorry your train journeys have been sub-par without MN to keep you entertained!

We can't pretend we know what's going on there but we're happy to ask our tech lot whether they've any ideas..

In the meantime don't get any ideas about cheating on us with any other parenting sites. Wink

I get this quite frequently on a mobile when travelling so not on Wi-fi.

LizB62A · 27/04/2018 22:31

The screenshot you posted isn't showing a WiFi symbol in the status bar at the top of the screen - are you sure you signed into their WiFi ?

Rainydaydog · 27/04/2018 22:34

Is this another case of Peak Trans?

Pretty sure I was, but had turned it off to write the post maybe? I’m on one again on Sunday so I’ll double check then and make sure I’m doing it properly!

Thanks Fliss Smile I wouldn’t do a thing like that Shock

This is probably because you haven't signed into their Wi-fi and it's trying to replace the website with the login page for the Wi-fi which the Safari browser is treating as a security breach (it can be in some circumstances).

When next travelling on them try visiting a non-https website like example.com/ and you might then see the Wi-fi login screen.

BlazeAway · 29/04/2018 18:02

I was definitely signed in this time Sad

Oh well. I’ll read my book or use mobile data instead!
