Pop up ads.

I'm certain there was a thread about this already, that HQ addressed, but I can't find it?

I'm getting pop up ads saying I've won something, etc, which then freeze my chrome browser on my iPhone.

I have to reset all my network settings to get rid of it. Nothing else works.

It only happens on mumsnet.

If I hadn't been for the previous thread of lots of people saying the same, I wouldn't have thought it was anything to do with mumsnet.

But then, I don't understand how any of this works!

Can you take a look at it, and is anyone else having the same trouble?

Yes a screenshot will be really helpful, as we need to know the advertiser, also what device are you on- Mobile, Tablet? Are you on the Website or App.
Have you cleared your cache?
To clear your cache for safari browsers you simply need to go into your settings, click on safari and clear history and website data.

Hasn't happened again, so far. Although it kept happening yesterday.

I'm on an iPhone, I use the website, not the app. The mobile version.

I use Chrome, not Safari.

But it hasn't happened again, so far but I will screenshot when it does.

Hi @loubylou - could you let us know what device you're on - and if you're on the mobile or the app? Could you also try clearing your cache? We also need to know which advertiser - so if you could screenshot it, that would be really helpful.

I'm getting a popup about Croup from MN! It says something about this is an old thread (it's not, it's not about croup either!) and click to get information. Big purple rectangular box in the middle of the screen.

Didn't happen when I clicked on this though.
