Password change - bit worried

I’ve just changed my MN password as my laptop has to be taken away to be repaired.

I changed it using my iPad, and have checked on my phone to find I was logged in and didn’t have to put in the changed password to access it.

Does this mean that the laptop will still log in without having to put in the new password?

What should I do?

So sorry for the delay here. I'm the LEAST Tech-minded member of the team, so you may have drawn the short straw here, but I'll try to answer your query.

I suspect that if you were already logged in on your phone, the new password won't register until you log out again. If you try it now, it should be that you need your new password to get back in.

So as far as your laptop goes, if you logged out prior to getting your laptop repaired, you'll only be able to log back in if you use your new password.

Thanks for answering, I have since found that my password change didn't actually register, so I will try that again.
Sadly I'm not logged out of MN on the laptop, and it won't turn on at all.

Ah well, that would explain it!

As for the laptop, we'll keep our fingers crossed that it's nothing terminal.
