Anyone that has been here a while knows the —rules— guidelines. It seems that posters can still blatantly start TAATs and post goady shite and get away with it.

What’s the point of having guidelines if certain posters can disregard them anyway?

Well HQ doesn't actually monitor the boards so if you see something that violates the guidelines then you need to report it, if it bothers you. If you've done that and HQ haven't done anything, either deleted it or commented on it to explain why they're leaving it then there's a case to answer. If it's not reported though, they aren't 'letting' anyone get away with anything, they just don't know about it.

MNHQ can only respond to reports, they probably deal with thousands in a day which is why it seems to take a while before anything is done.

sunrise it stands for Thread About Another Thread. It's frowned upon because it leads to too many threads about the same thing, repetition, and also because it's rather like talking about someone behind their back and so is just rude and not the sort of thing Mumsnet want to encourage.

Threads on whether a particular posting behaviour is seen as problematic by users (and MNHQ, given the topic) plus ways of dealing with it (if it is widely seen as a problem) is entirely appropriate.

I think trolls, including goady fuckers and perves, are a problem. And the number of deletions the morning shows it's not one that's going away.
