Unusable. Anyone else got this?

TwitterQueen1 · 11/09/2017 13:54

yes. me.

LuxuryDrinks · 11/09/2017 13:57

Yes and still almost unusable on the iPad still.

The site is as fast as anything on my little low powered phone, so something is definitely up...

Tinty · 11/09/2017 13:58

Me too

LornaMumsnet · 11/09/2017 15:42

Hi folks,

Is this chrome on mobile site or desktop/tablet?

How many posts per page are you loading?

Sorry for any inconvenience here. Flowers

DressedCrab · 11/09/2017 15:56

Desk top here.

@DressedCrab

Desk top here.

Thanks! How many posts per page are you viewing?

LuxuryDrinks · 11/09/2017 16:17

Desktop crashing, iPad for the slow, slow slow (painfully slow and lagging site - still)

Set to load up to 1000 posts at a time, which always used to be fine, and still is on on cheap, basic mobile which loads as quick as anything...

LuxuryDrinks · 11/09/2017 16:18

PS I have no problems using chrome on my mobile, either.

DressedCrab · 11/09/2017 16:59
Blush

I can't find settings

Me too. Desktop crashing, mobile page fine.

elephantoverthehill · 11/09/2017 20:04

The site keeps crashing on my laptop, also I get a random piano chord when scrolling down a page as if an advert is trying to start, every so often.

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 11/09/2017 20:13

ive got chrome, I keep getting a pop up saying mumsnet not responding and giving me the option to wait or "kill it" Hmm

hence why ive come on here to see if anyone else is asking the same issue.

I dont get pop ups on my chrome, so unsure as to why this is happening.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 11/09/2017 21:14

Chrome working fine here (desktop/ laptop, 100 messages per page).

Eyre89 · 11/09/2017 21:16

Chrome on mobile so slow to load or just won't load and isn't responding

CarolineMumsnet · 11/09/2017 22:41

Hi everyone. Thanks for all this info and sorry the problem continues. It is with tech now and we will get back to you here with further updates Flowers.

elephantoverthehill · 11/09/2017 22:51

Mine seems to be ok now. Smile

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 12/09/2017 07:23

mine has just crashed.

DressedCrab · 12/09/2017 07:33

Seems ok this morning. Fingers crossed.

spoke too soon. Unusable on chrome.

LornaMumsnet · 12/09/2017 15:24

Folks, we know it's a pita and we hate suggesting this but because of the largeness of the site, can you load 25 posts per page?

Huge loading page is what's likely to be causing the issue here we're afraid and there's not much our tech team can actually do about it.

Flowers and Cake

paxillin · 12/09/2017 16:36

Wot, 25? Never. 1000 or it doesn't feel like MN.

TwitterQueen1 · 12/09/2017 16:38

It's been working fine for me again today.

I can't believe it's a # of posts issue... I've been on MN for years (on a laptop) and looked at all kinds of threads with multiple posts and never had a problem before.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/09/2017 16:43

I'm on chrome desktop with 100 replies per page and it's been fine

LuxuryDrinks · 12/09/2017 17:02

Nope... the whole point is not to keep having to load new pages...

Aaand I might have it set to 1000, but it happens when the thread is only a few message long, anyway...

Aaaaaaaand it never used to happen before the adverts started to increase exponentially........

LuxuryDrinks · 12/09/2017 17:02

Plus I've had it set to 1000 for years...
