Roll up, roll up for the Great Mumsnet Get Together, Summer Fete, Garden Party, Disco and Barbecue

Hello there!

We would like to cordially invite you all to join us this coming Sunday, June 18, for a Great Get Together - in memory of the late Jo Cox MP, and in support of her family's organisation, More In Common, which aims to get us all to celebrate the things that unite us.

So whether you're reasonable or unreasonable, whether you have or have not Googled penguin bollards, and whether or not you think the OP should have cashed the cheque, we'd love to see you all here on Sunday around midday.

There will be PRIZES, chatting and amusing gifs (courtesy of AliceDMumsnet's 'solid gold gifs' folder). Please bring your best children's jokes, pictures of any kittens who have recently adopted you, and heartwarming stories of love and friendship across the divide (Netmums).

BYO booze. Folk dancing will not be tolerated in the shallow end.

It's ok Tombstones. Disco still going and plenty of booze and ice lollies. I just get a bit emotional at seeing sausage rolls being tidied away. Can't believe I missed the clog dancing though. In an attempt to get in on the fun despite lateness, my favourite place in the UK is Orford in Suffolk - weird army shit to see off the coast, a very CASTLEY castle, couple of decent pubs and a smokery. Can't go wrong. It's where I'm going to run away to when I win the lottery and no one will think to look for me there.
