Is it the app issues causing double posts?

Because there are so many of them it's making reading threads really annoying and when it's happening to so many posters it's definitely a site issue not just someone being over zealous!

So sorry that there have been a few glitches with the app of late - we do know how annoying this is. Sad

There are a number of other threads in Site Stuff asking similar questions. Here's what TimMumsnet has just posted on this thread:

So we've just submitted a new build to the App Store that should fix:

  • Duplicate/missing posts
  • Crashes when on bookmarked threads

It will take a few days to review, then if it passes, will be released. Hopefully it has solved the major issues - any other smaller bugs will be addressed in following updates.

In the meantime, we're really sorry for all the faff. Flowers

Hey guys, thanks for reporting!

There are two issues that have been causing duplicate posts:

  1. A recent release of the app duplicated every 6th post when viewed on the iOS app. We released an update an hour ago that has fixed this.
  2. The iOS app sometimes shows an error when posting (due to a poor connection), but has actually successfully posted. This occasionally leads to a duplicated post. We're working on a fix for this, but will take longer.

Thanks for your patience! We appreciate how irritating these bugs can be...
