Is the app playing up seriously for anyone else?

I've just had to log in afresh and then been unceremoniously thrown out of it 6 or 7 times. (After logging in successfully.)

Am I the only one?

Plus, on another thread, a very short additional post has just been duplicated as a substitute for a long original post - making a straight copy.

That's just happened again. Except that this time one poster has been substituted for the original poster.

It looks like the app has bypassed Tech and gone straight to the gin cupboard itself!

There was an update on the App Store today, maybe it's having problems? Might be an idea to post your device and OS version so tech can check?

Duplicated posts all over the shop. At least they look to be duplicates but really they're just substitutes. (The app seems to be replacing certain posters with the next one in line.)

Ah - so there was Rusty. Someone put up the update without checking it through, I reckon.

I have a Samsung and therefore can't even get the app. Absolute bollocks it is.

PS - I'm on an iPad Air with the latest iOS version.

Hey guys, thanks for flagging this. You're right, it isn't working as it should, we're looking into it now...this certainly didn't happen during testing, my apologies!

I've been thrown out loads today, since the iOS update.

I had to log in to go into 'threads I am on' and to comment on a posting.
This only happened today.

I've had three or four 'throw outs' today. It's still not happy.

I've only been kicked out once today but I'm not liking the new update at all. Every time leave the app then go back in even if it's only a couple of minutes later the Active Threads refreshes so I lose what I was about to read. This also happens if I'm midway through reading a thread and have to tend to the toddler, open the app and get taken back to the Active Threads page so I've lost my place. It's driving me nuts

Interestingly, the 'duplicate' posts aren't showing up on the main site, I think. I've just posted on a thread and while that post is showing, correctly, on the main site, it's appeared on the app version as a copy of the previous post by someone else. Complete with pictures.

I posted again on that thread and the app seems to have 'resurrected' the post it originally rejected and posted that instead. This is fast becoming almost unusable.

Ah - it sorted itself out. I've now been left with two similar posts but better late than never, I suppose. Maybe it's down to Tech sorting things out as we speak.

Hi guys, your feedback is really useful, thanks! To clarify, the new update should ask you re-login once - this has allowed us to upgrade the way the app logs in, but it certainly shouldn't log you out more than that! Is there any pattern of when it logs you off? Also, we noticed some duplicate posts occurring in previous updates, has it worsened?

I'm afraid it's worsened considerably, Tim - as far as I can see, anyway.

By the way, I'm not clear whether these duplicates are showing up on threads on the main site. You may have to view in the app itself.

PS - it's not requiring a re-log in when it throws me out and I haven't yet sensed a clear pattern to it. (I have a suspicion that it's to do with activity on the thread but no evidence at all for that yet) It just seems to 'Bang - you're out' - as if you'd closed down the app as normal.
