I see Northern Irish posters are looking for their own section on Mumsnet.
May we have an Irish section please ?There appear to be lots of Irish posters on this brilliant forum.

Joining to get the numbers up for an Irish section. Have been in London for nearly 15 years but love the Irish chat. I remember that luxury thread - was hilarious.

They keep the pig well hid, Maryz, so as not to put off the hipsters children. Then they shred it with potatoes of goodness, fried onions, gravy, more onions and stuffing, and put it in a box or on a roll. I've just eaten my body weight in chocolate, and I'd still murder a pig box.

I'd like an Irish section too. I think we need something like it because boards.ie is bloody awful. Its got so many subsections its hard to find anything, and the style of it is very dated. Mumsnet is much more user friendly.

Southern culchie living in Belfast for 20 years checking in to join the request for an Irish section.

Maybe it could include both north and south like the rugby team Grin

Teddies is also available on Dunville avenue in Ranelagh, I believe. Is it still at the end of Dun Laoghaire pier as well? That was fairly recent.

I have to drive 30 mins to grt to an aldi :-( .I actually have a tub of that blue vanilla ice cream in the freezer. Must give it a go.

What are the chances of getting an irish section? Is it a case of keep at themans the will give in eventually, like my kids?

There's one (van) at the start of the east pier wild and I'm sure the one down the end is there too.

Feck I have to drive the same. We are seriously rural. Nearest village is 8 miles away. With one supervalu and 4 pubs. But somehow in need of 3 chemists and 5 hairdressers Hmm

Maryz, you can have Nicola Sturgeon as part of the deal and then we'll cancel all ferries and flights. :o

Culchieville here too. We're semi-rural, about 20 minutes from a decent sized supermarket. Our nearest village has a few shops and loads of pubs.

Culchies Bench...I've got a flask of tea and some hang sangwiches... can I sit here with ye?

MaryZ I lurked on that LaQueen thread- I seem to remember it was around New Year's and became quite heated....lots of Irish rushing to defend ourselves against the Ballygobackwards stereotype again.

I like feeling anonymous here . I tried Boards and Rollercoaster but always feared someone putting two plus two together.

Carriemac, that's a good one --> Craicnet Grin

Ooohhh I love me a hang sangwich, no butter though just a wee bit of mayo. My contribution will be some nice brown bread and an apple tart.

Soggy tomato sandwiches on Brennan's bread and some tayto cheese and onion and snax to add to what seems to be shaping up to be a family picnic on bettystown beach around 1985 Grin

Kitty you'vejust reminded me, there was a thread there for a while that had tayto or tah too in the title. In my innocence I thought they were talking about the crisps and was all delighted but shocked that they were so popular in the UK they warranted a thread about the pronunciation!
