The million or so EU Referendum threads

Is there any chance these could be moved into the actual EU referendum topic? Getting a bit fed up with hiding them all from Active. Thanks!

Agreed. I keep hiding them and more keep appearing.

I agree therefore it must be done.

ExcuseMyEyebrows · 24/06/2016 19:37

I agree, I hide one and three more appear, I can't keep up.

Derek has the right idea Smile

Catzpyjamas · 24/06/2016 19:38

Please move them. I'm on here to escape.

MajesticSeaFlapFlap · 24/06/2016 19:39

I have no issue with that, usual but it's all over active despite there being a topic especially for this (which I can hide).

Yes, put them away. Really nasty stuff, most of them.

MiracletoCome · 24/06/2016 19:48

A lot of them are really nasty, reminiscent of the General Election threads. I don't know why people keep starting new ones, surely just post on one that's there

Livened it up Usual? It's brought out the trolls, the ageist bigots and the most immature, nasty and intolerant comments I have ever seen on here. Vile.

Yes move then, the nastiness, scaremongering and venom is disgusting. I know people are interested but if I want to get into a slanging match I'll join in.
Heartily sink of it all now. Its Friday night I need some light relief

God so many typos there and I haven't even had a drink yet!

What I meant to say is. If I want a bitchfest I'll join one of those threads!

I know it's a big thing and it's great that people want to talk about it. I'm just not sure a multitude of threads essentially saying exactly the same things need to be scattered across so many topics. Given how popular it is, the EU topic would always be in Active anyway.

OP posts:
LetThereBeCupcakes · 24/06/2016 20:32

I wouldn't mind them being in chat if people were actually CHATTING. But they're not, it's getting really nasty. Please move them.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 24/06/2016 21:41

Usual, I ALWAYS agree with you!

BankWadger · 24/06/2016 21:48

I am really really upset by this reply I recieved from MNHQ today

Hi there BankWadger

Thanks for your report. There's been a lot of goadiness on every front today so we're letting a lot of it go where posts don't actually breach talk guidelines, but we will make a note of this and just make sure it is just a one-off rather than a habit!

Hope you have a lovely weekend

So has decided, that just this once, it's okay for people to be goady fuckers. Well I guess HQ were on the leave side then, and don't give a flying toss about a large proportion of their users. If had been worded differently (We're over whelmed, we just can't keep up) I wouldn't be so upset, but this just reads as, Nah.. Fuckit. The twats can be unreasonable twats.
If people acted like this after the general election they were pulled up on it. A vote that has far deep reaching permanent consequences however and it's game on to allow all sorts of nastiness at a time when further division is the absolute last thing the nations of the British Isles need.
If I could take my regular thread away from MN and keep that lovely swearyness in my life, I would be seriously considering deregistering right now. That I can't is the only thing keeping me here right now.

Very very sad right now HQ.

I agree, I came on here to ask the same thing. It's just more and more of the same 'blame the racist thickos' for us all being doomed stuff. I want to read crap about parking wars and vegan recipes
