Logged out

The past couple of days I have had to log in every time I switch to MN. I have ticked the 'remember me' box.
Am I missing something? Doing something wrong? I'll admit to being a bit crap at computers so this is quite possible :)
But it is annoying!

Yes, still happening for me on desktop and iPad - very frustrating!

On Laptop, Google Chrome, Desktop Site - walked away from the screen for 10 minutes, pressed 'Refresh' on the thread I was reading when I returned to find I had been logged out so had to log in yet again.

Taken to the Talk Topics page, tick missing from the 'Remember me' box.

'Keep me logged in' is not working on Tablet on Mobile Site despite the box remaining ticked.

What is causing this MN Tech? It's becoming extremely tiresome.

Same here, desktop, tablet & phone all logging me out. After last years problems I created a very complicated password that I can't remember & have to keep checking the back of my diary

All of a sudden yesterday I got the 'keep me logged in' box back, and it's worked so far

This is happening to me too and it's annoying.

Tho add to my annoyance the log in box keeps disappearing after I've added my email but before I've managed to add my password.

I'm on an iPad with the latest iOS

We've just nudged tech on this - so sorry for driving you all round the twist, we hope to have more info ASAP.

What I've now discovered is that I'm getting timed out of whatever session I have logged in as. By that I mean that I'm logging on to MN, selecting the threads I want to read by saying "Open in a new tab" and by the time I get around to reading some of them, my session has timed out and I have to log back in again.

This is really really frustrating and is only happening since the way to log in was updated to be through a floating/drop down area on screen.

Katherine any chance ASAP could be quicker? Yet again logged out just because I visited another site for a few minutes, came back to MN and it looked like I was still logged in but clicked to read another page in a thread to find myself logged out. Logged back in and taken to Talk Topics page, not back to the the thread I was on.

Also earlier today when I got the blank screen when I tried to log in I was taken to a very different page, possibly the MN Web page?

This is very tiresome indeed.
When will it be sorted out?

What with being unable to remain logged in after closing my browser (Google Chrome, desktop), the stupid page jumping that's been going on for months and still hasn't been sorted, and all the bloody User2757897935739 names, it's just really tiresome.

Still happening to me too. Even if I haven't left the page now; if I go off to load up the washing machine, or cut the grass, by the time I come back I'm logged out again.

I bet it's making people post less. If you have to log in, THEN get taken to the Talk front page, THEN find the thread you were reading, all before you can post, it seems like quite a faff for a throwaway comment about cats.

It might look like not many people are affected but Starling is right - it must be making people post less.

Began happening to me on my Macbook yesterday, whichever browser I'm in, I get logged out even if I've left the tab open. I always have trouble on my ipad and iphone, so not even bothering to check there! But it is really annoying - and it's now been going on for other people for nearly a fortnight?

Since I logged on to complain yesterday it seems to be fine for me on my laptop.

Still happening here - Chrome on a desktop Mac.
