Am I right, that back in the older days, Threads I'm on just to work differently?

I thought that 'Threads I'm on' would show a thread that you had posted on every time someone added a post.

Has this changed? & if so how recent was this change?

Have you had a look on your Customise recently KatyMac? My TIO still shows when someone else posts on a thread. Maybe yours went all a bit pea-shaped after JeffreyGate and you haven't noticed until recently?

LettuceLaughton · 11/01/2016 17:18

Yy, it did used to work like that and still does if you select the correct settings in customise.

FruStefanOla · 11/01/2016 17:21

"pea-shaped"? WTF?! I meant pear-shaped Grin

Katymac · 11/01/2016 19:28

Hmm not finding anything that looks dodgy on the customise bit - what am I doing wrong?

In customise 'Threads I'm On - sort method' should be set to 'most recently active'. If it is but isn't working right then selecting the other option, saving, then selecting the correct option and saving again might sort it.

If not it's probably best to mail MNHQ or report yer thread.

That's what I thought

The ME/CFS/FM thread has fallen off & I started that

OP posts:
LettuceLaughton · 11/01/2016 20:07

and it has been active in the last 21 days?

Have you tried 'I started'?

Katymac · 11/01/2016 20:15

Not there either - I wonder if I've done something odd

OP posts:
Katymac · 11/01/2016 20:15

Hi Katymac - thanks for flagging this. Hope we can get it sorted quick.

When did you notice there was a problem with it?
Are you having a problem with a specific thread, or is it a few different threads?

Katymac · 12/01/2016 15:09

I've been chatting to Mn about this and we think it may have changed possibly a few years ago

I wondered if there are different ways of using Threads I'm on & Threads I'm watching

Something like this:
To me they are completely different

Threads I'm watching are for things
· I may want to read
· I can't comment on but might in the future
· Have information I'm 'collecting'

Whereas Threads I'm on is just that

Are threads I'm watching updated when someone new posts on them? I wouldn't have thought so they stay in the same place on the list I think

So there currently is no function to draw attention to a thread posted on 7 years ago, which has been updated or added to - is there?

Does that make sense? I think threads I'm on worked that way in the past

this thread is an example of when it might have been useful

Katymac · 14/01/2016 16:31

I posted on it - did it arrive in your Threads I'm On?

OP posts:
BeccaMumsnet · 14/01/2016 17:02

Hi PassiveAgressiveQueen - Blush apologies.

We'll discuss this at HQ. Would be good to know if others have similar issues so hopefully we can bump this back up the top.

Katymac · 14/01/2016 17:05

If you look at that thread I mentioned you can see how useful it's been for people me
