Can't reset password on app

Can anyone help?

Forgot my password so reset on the desktop site. Now trying to get into app which doesn't offer me the chance to enter my (new or old) password, just repeatedly pops up 'Connection failed, unable to connect with Mumsnet'.

Any suggestions as to how I can get into any menu/window so I can update my password to the new one on the app?

Hi Mij,

Sorry you've been having trouble logging in to the app.

We've had a word with our Tech team and they've asked if you can try pressing the menu button (that's the one with three horizontal lines), and then "Log in / Register" (and perhaps "Log out" if you're already logged in).

Hope that makes sense. Do let us know how you get on.

Unfortunately I can't press anything because it just repeatedly tries to log in automatically and I get the error message over and over. Never get past the welcome screen.

Right, we've had a word with our Tech people and they've asked if you can possibly post a screenshot of what's going on.

It is definitely the app you're on, right, and not the mobile site? It's just that we don't have a welcome screen on the app, and also the app never tries to log you in automatically.

Just thought we'd check!

Yep definitely the app, screenshot attached and if I tap try again it just repeats. I should probably have called it a landing page/screen. I don't have the app lingo

Okay, we have an answer for you Mij!

You're still trying to connect to the old app, which was turned off 2 months ago.

To get the new app, open the App Store, search for "Mumsnet" and then tap "Update" to install the new version.

Hopefully then you'll be back up and running.

I have trouble updating apps as my storage is constantly bumping full so I ignore updates for ages and then troubleshoot them all together in one fun-filled evening .
