Huge thanks you for the lovely thoughtul gift! It has been a pretty rubbish year for me as I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July and will be spending Christmas suffering chemo side effects. Mumsnet has been an absolute lifeline to me this year and being put forward for secret Santa has been the icing on the cake. I am definitely going to go and spoil myself in the new year with your lovely gift xxx thanks again and hope you have a brilliant relaxing Christmas planned!

I am very sorry if your parcel hasn't arrived in time for Christmas. I gave DH the one one job of posting it last week and he sent it second class. Sigh. To be fair it should have got there as it was before the last posting date for 2nd class, but if it hasn't, you will at least have a nice post Christmas surprise to look forward to! Oh, now that's confusing LOL Probably not as confusing for us as it will be for MN7565 though, I sent two parcels separately, one arrived shortly before she posted, the other about 15 minutes after. So if yours arrived this morning she will be either seriously confused or think somebody has been uber generous

At least she has been well treated, that is the important thing (but mumsnet,sort it out for next year as people may end up thinking things have arrived when they haven't if there are two with the same name - I had to double check with the tracking that they'd gone to the right place after the above posts LOL)

Santa your generosity and thoughtful presents were very much appreciated and my son is totally delighted with his gift.

Pippafisher many thanks to you and your DH for making sure the parcel carried on it's merry way.

This parcel arrived on a day I was feeling terribly sad and had spent much of it crying. I think the reality of life without my Mum hits very hard on certain days and I was feeling lonely and tired and generally fed up. Your gift brought me huge pleasure, especially as it had such a wonderful journey here, and it made me smile through the tears.

The generosity and kindness of the 'nest of vipers' that is MN is truly impressive!

I posted off a gift for you and the girls last week, and I'm a little worried, as the courier details says it was delivered to your letterbox on the 20th. As I hadn't heard if you had received it safely, I searched the thread and saw you mentioned earlier in the thread that you were away for Xmas. This is my first Christmas alone, and I am currently sitting in front of a fire, beneath a big red blanket, with a glass of mulled wine, and opening your presents. I know I've already thanked you on here but I wanted to say again what wonderful gifts they were for my DSs - they were both beyond thrilled, especially the 2yo! His eyes when he saw the truck that Santa had left for him - so so happy!
